Last weekend, we camped down in Fernie, B.C., along with my twin sister and her family.
We've been taking the kids down there most summers for a number of years now. This typically centres around mountain biking (usually for a race my husband and brother-in-law do). This time around, we got the kids more involved by doing an easy mountain bike trail, called Lazy Lizard a couple of times. They LOVED it! We are one step closer to mountain-biking as a family - yay!
All day every day was spent outdoors and the kids enjoyed the freedom of zipping around on their bikes around the campground. They were also able to bike into town to the bike park by the Aquatic centre.
I couldn't resist bringing my camera along to Fernie's picturesque bike park, which also has a basketball court, outdoor gym and splash pad. It was a visual feast, with stunning views and a passing train to boot. If you've never stayed in Fernie with kids before, put it on your list and include this bike park!
Here are my favourites from that hour my kids and nephews spent having fun.
